Since September 19th, the winter season has started on the glacier. The Grawand lift and Gletschersee lift and there slopes are in operation until 16:00, and the last ride of the glacier cable car is at 16:30. Also the 7 km cross-country ski trail on the glacier is open.

Strong high altitude north-westerly currents will bring moist air masses to the Alps.
In the afternoon, the precipitation will become heavier in the north, with snow falling above 1300 m to 1600 m. Towards the evening, the precipitation will spread further south.
