Founded in 1972, the Schnalstaler Gletscherbahn AG is today one of the most important employers in Schnalstal and the driving economic engine of the region. In addition to the ski centre and the ski lifts, the company also has a hydroelectric power plant, a combined heat and power plant, the Glacier Hotel Grawand, the caravan park and ski huts in the rear Val Senales.
