At Alpin Arena Senales, a unique experience awaits younger and older adventurers: the Mountaincarts in Maso Corto. With these non-motorized “mountain Ferraris”, you’ll race safely down winding forest roads – and if one ride isn’t enough, you can always go for round two.

How does it work?

Our go-karts in Italy are three-wheeled vehicles without an engine. All you have to do is brake and steer. Unlike some other Mountaincarts in South Tyrol, ours are completely free from noise and exhaust fumes. They’re easy to handle and can even be driven solo by children. This means you can fully enjoy the fresh mountain air, the cool breeze on your face, and the spectacular views of upper Val Senales during your ride.

The route

Your go-karting holidays begin with a ride on the Lazaun cable car from Maso Corto. At the mountain station, your carts will be ready and waiting for you and your companions. After a quick briefing, you’re all set – and with a friendly push from one of our staff, you’ll be rolling downhill in no time, and you won’t stop until you reach the valley floor in Maso Corto. The course covers 4 kilometres and descends more than 400 metres in elevation but trust us – the ride will fly by! No problem: the cable car will whisk you back to the top for another round.

Equipment and safety

At the Alpin Arena Senales, safety always comes first! Our holiday go-karts are regularly serviced and meet the highest safety standards. Before you start, you’ll receive an introduction to how the carts work and the rules for a safe ride. Helmets are provided. Children aged 10 and up, and at least 140 cm tall, may ride our go-karts in Italy alone (with adult supervision). For comfort, we recommend sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing (jacket, sunglasses, possibly gloves…). Please ensure that no loose straps or items can get caught in the wheels.

A go karting holiday in South Tyrol pairs perfectly with a day trip to the Alpin Arena Senales, making it a great outing for families and groups of friends alike:
Park your car at the entrance to Maso Corto (2,011 m) and follow the trail markers 1/A10 into the Langgrub Valley. After passing the prehistoric site “Ganglegg”, take trail 11A across grassy slopes to the high moor – a unique alpine landscape – and continue on until you reach the Lazaun Hut (2,427 m) after a moderately challenging hike. Here, you can enjoy a scenic and delicious break before your second adventure of the day. Right next to the Lazaun Hut lies the top station of the Lazaun lift – where your holiday go-karts are waiting. The return to your car is on three wheels!

Opening times

The holiday go-karts in Val Senales are rented out by Sportservice Erwin Stricker and are available from June 28th to October 5th, 2025, every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. From August 11th to 24th, our “Ferraris on the mountain” will be available daily. Opening hours: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Single ride €12, each additional ride €10.
