Hiking Paths to sites of archeological Interest
Following the discovery of the now famous
Man from the Ice, excavations were carried out at numerous sites of archaeological interest in the Schnals, Vinschgau and Passeier valleys in
Northern Italy and the
Ötz valley in Austria. Important finds were brought to light and it was decided to open these various sites to the general public and lay out hiking paths to these places of such
great archaeological interest. There are now fifteen of these well-marked walks all included in the practical guide with fifteen single sheets, one for each walk, and a large, panorama map, Walks to Places of Archaeological Interest,
"In the Footsteps of the Man from the Ice".
Each individual sheet includes a clear description of the particular walk together with a panorama map and information about differences in altitude as well as interesting details about the surrounding area.
