The Val Senales Glacier Ski Area is one of the few ski resorts that offers cross-country skiing in South Tyrol almost year round. For this reason, many dedicated cross-country skiers and other winter sports enthusiasts looking for an early winter warm-up gather here for cross-country skiing at the glacier.

Cross-country skiing in South Tyrol: from September to mid-December, there is guaranteed snow on the high altitude cross-country trails, which lead cross-country skiers along a winding round trip course over wide-open terrain. The trails are between five and ten kilometers long. The special Cross Country Ski-Ticket includes both the glacier cable car and the Grawand chair lift up to the high altitude trails (ticket 32.00 Euros).

The two kilometer Lazaun slope on the high plateau, also with guaranteed snow, accommodates beginners and recreational skiers. It is open from mid-December until April. The trail is accessible via the Lazaun chair lift from the town of Maso Corto/Kurzras (10.00 Euros).
