A very special experience for the whole family is our 3.3 km long toboggan run that can be reached via the Lazaun chair lift. The alpine pasture in Lazaun next to the chair-lift mountain station is an ideal spot for a rest.
The toboggan (the sledge) has a long tradition in South Tyrol. In the past, the toboggan was a vital piece of equipment for farmers in the Tyrolean countryside, when fetching their wood and hay from the higher alpine pastures. Tobogganing is a popular pass-time with both young and old in South Tyrol and in poor weather is an ideal alternative to skiing and snowboarding.
